The Craft of Literature is the CD-ROM companion to Pearson Education's college level literature textbook. Black Hammer designed and programmed the entire project, from the look and feel, which expands on the design of the textbooks, to the interactive functionality, that brings the text content alive for users. Features include reading interactive essays by authors covered in the companion text, viewing video and audio content, answering a series of interactive questions, and saving work to the hard drive. Users can also launch a web browser from within the application to access an additional set of activities on the Longman website. One particularly interesting feature of the CD is the navigation system, which slides on and off the screen to provide clear navigation that moves aside for optimum display of content.
